Exploring Membership

The pathway toward membership contains three components. The first component is Foundational Faith.  Our church’s first goal is to make sure that we all know Jesus and what He came to do for us. There are three options:

1) go on a Cursillo weekend (a short course in Christianity)
2) take Basic Christianity by John Stott (Sunday School) starting January 28 at 9:00 in the Connect Room of Skardon Hall or
3) complete the ALPHA course (Tuesday Nights) offered Fall 2018

The second component is Anglican Tradition. We want our church to be filled with strong Christians, but we want them to be strong Anglicans also. We offer The Joys of Anglicanism, a course in the worship, theology, and history of the Anglican Communion, as the next class on the path to membership.

The Joy of Anglicanism Sundays March 3 - 24   All are invited to The Joy of Anglicanism class. If you are new to the Anglican Church or just want a refresher on why we do what we do, please join us. 9am Connect Room of Skardon Hall.

The third component is Discovering How Your Spiritual Gifts Contribute to the Body of Christ. Finally, we want new members to know and use their God-given spiritual gifts. We do this through Connect 102. In Connect 102, Cathy McGrew helps folks on their journey to understanding what spiritual gifts they possess and how they might apply their gifts in ministry at St. Paul’s. Connect 102 will be held on Sunday, April 8 & 15 at 9:00 in the Connect Room of Skardon Hall.

If any of these components were completed elsewhere (perhaps at a former church or diocese), they will count toward your membership goal as well. Just let us know!
