Parents

Here at St. Paul’s Summerville we think it is a privilege to work with your teenager. And we need your help to communicate the message of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to help every middle and high school student we work with to fall in love with Jesus and follow after Him. You can help us do this in many ways. We consider the SPS ministry a partner with YOUR ministry at home. As a parent, your entire life is spent disciplining your young people and we want to be part of that effort.

We are always looking for new ways to make our partnership better. Our newest revision is to have the students and parents meet at the end of a weekend trip for a time of sharing. Too often kids come home with new experiences, new friends, new memories and not knowing how to decompress with mom and dad. And you are wondering, "What did I spend a hundred bucks for?"  So now, instead of meeting you at the parking lot, we are asking everyone to come inside to the youth room and debrief the trip.

If you want to know more about youth culture, check out Walt Mueller's website for The Center for Parent / Youth Understanding.

We need always need SUPPORT in prayer and logistics. We are also looking for people who love youth to join our ADULT TEAM and help us listen, love, and train our students. The Adult Team: One of the greatest qualities in the “A Team” is someone who enjoys kids. This is the team  that primarily will run the weekly small groups and support the other areas of our youth program.

The Support Team: Works behind the scenes to support the ongoing programs and events. They are The Prayer Circle, our Super Snack Coordinators, and extra chaperons.

If you can be part of this ministry, please let Oeland Camp know. Or if you have more questions, contact Oeland at 870-1991 mobile or email him.
