Outreach

Outreach Ministry

Mission Statement
The mission of St. Paul’s Outreach Ministry is to encourage the parish to move more fully into being an actively compassionate community. In response to Christ’s love, we will reach out in mercy, justice, and loving kindness to the impoverished and forgotten.

Vision Statement
The vision of the Outreach ministry is that, through education, equipping, and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, St. Paul’s members will become outward-focused and will engage in social ministries on the local, diocesan, national, and global levels.

Statement of Philosophy
Our Church - St. Paul’s is called to respond to the invitation of Scripture to change our lives by becoming Christ-like in reaching out to those in need. This is done in the name and glory of God.
Guidance - The team will seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit through scripture and prayer. The discernment process will also include discussion with clergy and parishioners.

Fund Distribution
At St. Paul’s we continually receive a bounty of God’s blessings. With grateful hearts, the Outreach team meets quarterly to allocate funds to the ministries that St. Paul’s supports as well as to consider new outreach opportunities.

Ministry Focus
The Outreach Ministry is an outward-focused ministry that looks beyond the walls of our parish to fulfill Christ’s call. This ministry educates, encourages, and equips the parish through a wide variety of local, diocesan, national, and global opportunities. As our Lord commanded, we commit our selves, our time, and our resources to feed the hungry, protect the weak, and clothe the naked. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:37-40 that “…whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.”

- Below you will find forms for requesting Outreach funds. Please submit forms to the Outreach team through the church office.
