Birth through 36 months

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14

About Our Nurseries
Because we believe your child is a special gift from God, it is our goal to provide a safe, loving Christ-centered environment for both you and your child. The Infant and Toddler Nurseries are staffed by experienced hired Nursery Care Providers who are CPR and First Aid certified.

Sunday Mornings
Our Infant and Toddler Nurseries open at 8:30 am for worship services. The nurseries are located on the first floor of the Children and Youth Building.

Infant Nursery (6 wks to 17 months)
This nursery is equipped with changing tables, cribs, high chairs, baby swings, rocking chairs and a variety of safe, age-appropriate toys. Soothing background music is played in the nursery to help create a warm, nurturing environment.

Toddler Nursery (18—36 months)
The toddler nursery is equipped with a changing table, child size restroom, a variety of safe, age-appropriate toys and a television with VCR/DVD for viewing Christian videos. A mid-morning snack is provided to the children.

Check In & Out Procedures
A sign-in sheet is located just outside the Infant and Toddler Nursery rooms. All children must be signed into their rooms, complete with parent's name, location and the pager number you take. In the case of an emergency, or if your child needs your attention, one of our Nursery Care Providers will send a signal to your pager. Please keep this pager on your body, it will only vibrate. When signing out for the morning please remember to return the pager.

Parent Volunteer Program
The growth of our nursery is a true blessing from God, and for that we are so thankful. However, with growth comes the need for more volunteers. That is why moms and dads who have children enrolled in our nursery are asked to volunteer in the infant/toddler class one Sunday every 5-6 months. Updated rotation scheduled are mailed and posted outside the nursery rooms quarterly. This is a wonderful way for parents to give back to our nursery that is so lovingly provided for us every week.

Sick Policy
To protect the health of all babies and Nursery Care Providers, please do not bring a sick child to the nursery where he or she may infect others. Some signs of illness are:

  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Coughing, sneezing
  • Runny nose / eyes
  • Temperature of 99° or higher in past 24 hours
  • Rash / open sores
  • Inflamed mouth or throat

  • Our Guidelines
Here are several important things to remember that will make your baby's time at church enjoyable and worthwhile:

    1. Label your child's diaper bag and its contents with your child's name. Some suggestions for your diaper bag to make your child's stay more comfortable: 2-4 diapers, baby wipes, bib, pacifier, change of clothing, extra pull-ups, bottles with measured formula, a favorite snuggly.

    2. All personal items should be clearly marked with your child's name.

    3. Nursery Care Providers are happy to warm a bottle.

    4. Our toddlers receive a small snack, usually crackers and juice. Please notify us of any food allergies.

    5. Children undergoing potty training should be in a pull-up and should have a change of clothes in a labeled bag.

    6. Your child may cry when left with us. This reaction is a normal healthy show of preference for parents. The child's fussing usually stops within a few minutes, and becomes less common with regular attendance.

    7. Please be prompt in picking your child up at the end of service/ class and return your pager.

    Questions?
We hope you feel confident that your little one will receive loving care and understanding.  Ask us about any of our policies and procedures.  We are happy to answer your questions.
