Summerville Reading Camp
St. Paul's hosted their first week-long summer reading camp in 2011. The 2012 camp will be held July 9-13, 2012. More information on our Reading Camp page - HERE.
The camp is for rising third and fourth graders from the Summerville area. Each day students will be given breakfast, lunch and snacks. Students will participate in three hours of academic reading centers in the morning, followed by exciting afternoon activities including an off campus field trip.
This camp is free of charge and selection is based on parent, teacher and principal recommendations.

Dorchester Habitat for Humanity
Mission: Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing in Dorchester County. They build and sell simple, decent homes with volunteer labor and the ‘sweat equity’ of the needy families selected to purchase the no profit homes with a no interest purchase.Volunteer Opportunities: Construction-Working on Thursdays or Saturdays at the home building site.
Homestore-Pickups and deliveries of donation items; customer assistance in Resale Store and office.

Medical Outreach Ministry Clinic
http://www.medicaloutreach.org/Mission: To offer free, non-emergency, basic medical assistance to those people in the community who are in need of care and have no other resources.
Volunteer Opportunities: All levels of medical personnel, prayer teams, and greeters are needed to work 2 hours, once a month
in the clinic located in Ambler Hall on Thursday evenings. Nurses, greeters, prayer teams, physicians, nurse practitioners and PA’s are needed. Donations of basic medications, children’s books, crayons, coloring books, and new Bibles in English and Spanish are needed.
Meals at the Clinic: a delicious, simple meal is served every Thursday at the clinic. Volunteers make and serve dinner while people are waiting for medical care. Please join us in blessing the community. You can volunteer as a family, small group, Sunday school class or just yourself. We need volunteers to set up and serve; make a pot of soup; make sandwiches; provide fresh fruit; provide paper products; pray for the ministry. Interested - contact Coordinator.
Meals on Wheels of Summerville
Mission: To enable the elderly and/or handicapped in our community to maintain their health and allow them to remain independent by living in their own homes. A hot, nutritious noonday meal is delivered weekdays to those who are incapacitated or isolated to the extent that they are unable to prepare their own meals.
Volunteer Opportunities: Delivering and/or packaging meals as a regular volunteer once a week or as a substitute who is called when needed. Contact: Betsy Luke at 873-8224.
Good News Clubs - Child Evangelism Fellowship
Mission: Child Evangelism Fellowship® also known as CEF® is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization that is dedicated to seeing every child reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, discipled and established in a local church. CEF has different types of evangelistic programs, but the two most identified with the organization are 5-Day Club® and Good News Club®. These two exciting ministries take place in neighborhood settings such as homes, backyards, schools and community centers all over the world. These fast-paced, one-hour programs are designed to bring the Gospel of Christ to children on their level in their environment.
Summerville Baptist Church has adopted Spann Elementary School. Many St. Paul's families have children at Spann Elementary we want to extend an invitation to join with their Coordinator by helping in one area or another.
