Gift Shop Workroom

The new Gift Shop Workroom is getting off to a great start! Our mission is to help others in need by creating high quality items to be sold during the spring Tea Room and Gift Shop, the proceeds of which are donated to various charitable organizations. The four primary project areas that will be sponsoring workshops are art/crafts, jewelry, plants/arrangements and sewing.

2012 Workshops:
The Gift Shop Workroom will be humming with activity from now until the Tea Room!  We have lots of fun creating items that will be sold in the Tea Room Gift Shop, and we have some wonderful workshops scheduled, please join us!

If you are interested in any of these or want to know what more might be coming later, please call Dixie Moran at 875-1977 or 822-9768. Space is limited, so please don’t wait to sign up!

In an effort to be cost-conscious as well as eco-friendly, we are asking for donations of materials that can be recycled into works of art. The project areas all need basic materials and tools such as scissors (adult), fabric, poly-fill, ribbons, trim, beads, flower pots, dried and silk flowers, glue guns, potting soil, etc. Donation list is attached below. We also need plastic storage boxes of all sizes. There is a table outside the workroom in Skardon Hall for donated items. Call Dixie Moran (875-1977) or Ellen Lumpkin (873-1698) if you need us to pick up your donations.
