Children's Ministry

“..we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord...so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born…!” (Psalm 78:4,6)

Who Comes to Children’s Ministries?
All children age 3 by September 1, 2011 through Third grade are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the Children’s Ministries.

Our Purpose
The purpose of the Children’s Ministry is to set the hearts of the children on fire with love for

Jesus through:
     1. Intentional Faith @ Home Ministry
     2. Fantastic Bible Studies
     3. Dynamic Kids Church

Our Mission
The mission of the Children’s Ministry is to intentionally equip families with opportunities and tools for transforming growth in a biblically-based faith.

Kids Church (for children ages 3 yrs– 3rd grade)
All children are invited and encourage to join us for Kids Church every Sunday morning during the 9am service time. Families begin corporate worship together in Doar Hall and join in the children’s procession led by the acolytes to the Worship Center where they are led by the God Squad in praise & worship. Later, children break out into three age appropriate groups; preschool, lower elementary, and upper elementary. Each group is led by a team of dedicated parents who walk the children through awesome Bible stories, creative crafts, and challenge them with life lessons. All children will return to Doar Hall in time to receive Holy Communion with their parents.

Junior Daughters of the King - St. Lydia Chapter at St. Paul's Summerville
We have chapter of young women and girls who are Junior members of the Order of the Daughters of the King ® . A Junior Chapter is a group of three or more young women and girls who make a promise to pray daily and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. We are under the guidance and support of a Senior Chapter. A Senior Daughter serves as the Directress. Junior Daughters are girls and young women from 7 to 21 years of age. Membership is extended to all baptized girls. Our chapter gives us a special opportunity to grow in love and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, while serving our church and community. We experience the joy of belonging to Christian fellowship with friends and mentors. We study the Bible, discuss our faith, support each other and pray for the needs of our community and our world.

Boy Scouts of America
St. Paul's sponsors Boy Scout Troop 730. The Troop is open to boys ages 11 through 18 years old. Monthly camp outs and a great week at summer camp are the highlights of this youth led group. If you are interested in finding out more about Scouts, contact the Scoutmaster by email or call the church office at 873.1991.

For information contact the Directress, Forrest Westley by email or by phone 843.875.6495.
